about - Cross & Clove Photography

"While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see."

~ Dorothea Lange

Cross & Clove is an affordable solution for: - Seamstresses or costume designers - People who wear costumes for work or play - Alternative lifestyles, such as Gothic - Renaissance Festival actors - Cosplay participants - Anyone that has a Halloween or other costume and wants photos taken I will work with you to achieve your photographic goals for fun or for promotion of your creative skills.

I have been practicing  photography for over 10 years. I have taken classes from Northland Career Center and New York Institute of Photography, among others. I have been building and running a travel writing and photography website for almost two years now and am proud to say it is achieving more than 15,000 page views a month. I have a network of wonderful and creative people that I can put you in touch with that can help you achieve the look you are wanting. Costume designers, models for your creations, and make-up and effects are some of the service I can refer you to. I believe that photography is an ever evolving art that is always growing and changing. As a photographer I am always trying to learn something new and how to see things differently. As such, I always try to find locations and models uniquely suited to the concepts being explored and that will work with everyone that is involved to ensure we get the ideal result. People who work with me know that I strive to keep everything fair and respectful and I expect the same in return.

If you are a model, MUA, or a costume designer, I manage a group on Facebook where creative minds come together and work together in a not-for-profit atmosphere to make ideas a reality. The group is for fun and it is all about helping one another make an idea into a doable project utilizing the skills of the members. Cost for materials is the only money that will change hands on any project inside the group.
